This traditional hand-woven French Savonnerie rug has a light golden ivory field with a single red square outline enclosing a soft scrolling floral vine with a red floral roundel in each corner around a red hexagonal central medallion, the outer ivory stripe with a delicate red S-motif alternating with a single floral motif enclosing a red stripe with a linked stylized rope around a roundel containing a central red radiating flowerhead centerpiece and surrounded by floral circular bands, a broad ivory band at each end containing a delicate hooked vine with a feather motif at each end, an ivory floral stripe surround, in a red scrolling vine and ivory linked floral lozenge border between ivory stripes, plain outer fox-red stripe.
