This hand-woven French Aubusson tapestry is made in wools and silks, depicting Joseph greeting his brother who is kneeling before him surrounded by guards and further soldiers standing on a platform covered in carpets with a large blue canopy above, in the background large classical buildings, within a frame border of polychrome meandering floral and acanthus leaf vine between stripes.
