This traditional hand-woven Persian Sultanabad rug has a rust field with overall counterposed design of elegant ivory palmettes issuing vine forming lozenge lattice and scattered floral motif, in a shaded medium blue border of fanned palmettes issuing sparse leafy vines, between a profusion of detailed floral vine stripes, inner refined ribbon stripe.
