This antique, circa 1940, oversized Chinese rug features a mole-grey field scattered with charcoal-black, sandy-yellow and ivory auspicious symbols, including swans, cloud motifs and conch shells in a broad sandy-yellow border scattered with delicate floral motifs, perching birds and leafy sprays, inner charcoal-black and ivory delicate floral vine stripe and outer plain grey stripe.
