This hand-woven French Aubusson tapestry is made in wools and silks, with a pair of pictorial locket roundels depicting courting couples surrounded by an acanthus leaf frame and delicate floral garlands each hanging from a blue ribbon with a further blue ribbon holding a hanging flower basket, in the center a large floral arrangement hanging from a blue ribbon containing a bird, various vases and tools, the garland swag surround above, below a large floral arrangement flanked by similar smaller sprays, in a meandering floral vine outer band, chocolate outer stripe.
