This traditional hand-woven French tapestry is woven in wools and silks, depicting a central male figure courting a noblewoman accompanied by pheasant in a dense leafy clearing near a lake, flanked by cranes and water cask in the foreground, verdant leafy trees and tranquil morning skies, in a tonal light tobacco geometric border, plain outer brown line stripes.
