This hand-woven French Teniers tapestry is made in wools and silks, depicting a frozen lake with a variety of figures playing with dogs, horse-drawn sledges and peasants cooking and preparing game on the bank with an arched bridge in the distance, a horse-drawn cart piled with cut wood, in the foreground part of a house with figures entering and sitting at the windows, in the distance the town with other skating figures and trees, in an oak-leaf frame border, inscribed F. Duplan et G.Hamot one side and on the other inscribed D.Teniers.
