This traditional hand-woven Persian Sultanabad rug has an overall midnight blue field of tonal rosettes issuing angled vine forming lozenge lattice, each enclosing flowering palmettes adorned by pheasants, in a grand rust border of interlocked turtle palmettes, between fine vine stripes.
