This traditional hand-woven Persian Serapi rug has a warm beige field of angled palmette vines and tendrils enclosing a magnificent ruby rust radiating lozenge medallion enclosing similar geometric floral motif and inner indigo arabesque issued by central ornate cartouche, in similar shaded medium blue spandrels and quarter medallions, in a detailed shaded brick turtle palmette border, between subtle ivory meandering floral stripes.
