This traditional hand-woven Persian Kashan Mohtasham rug has a muted ivory field of rosettes and palmettes issuing saturated angled floral vines, enclosing a regal indigo arabesque lozenge medallion with inner cartouche motif radiating cypres motif, in shaded brick orange palmettes spandrels, in a shaded indigo border of linked stylized palmettes and lozenges, between a profusion of elegant geometric and vine stripes.
