This authentic, antique Donegal rug is handwoven in Ireland and features a soft-green field with a central fox-brown stepped lozenge issuing a straight tendril from each side which divides the field in quarters terminating in a part shaded pink lozenge at each end with a moss-green central palmette, the straight tendril issuing delicate shaded pink and lavender-blue delicate floral sprays, the part spandrels similar to the central motif, in a broad shaded pink border of angular lavender-blue and caramel-brown palmettes alternating with flowerhead spray motifs between ivory floral vine stripes, outer light green and fox-brown plain stripes.
