An antique, circa 1900, Agra rug with a shaded blue-green field with a central ivory cusped lozenge issuing to each side a pair of densely flowering trees forming a band across the centre, below and above a row of Cypress trees surrounded by further densely flowering trees with scattered animals, together with further Cypress trees and perching birds, a stylized bird motif in each corner, in a buff-brown border of steel-blue and ivory scrolling and floral vine linking floral cartouches between light yellow meandering floral vine stripes outer streel-blue plain stripe.
