Antique wool and silk Flemish Tapestry depicts a formal garden with large leafy trees, lawns and a fountain within a large pond, elaborate classical buildings with arched pavilions and carved columns supporting elaborate door frames, tiled terraces with assorted urns, a seated figure dressed as a classical soldier with several courtiers and another similarly dressed soldier, the chocolate-brown border with a dense polychrome floral and fruiting vine with a pair of shells in the lower corners and a flaring torch in the top corners between narrow plain stripes.
