Ningxia

This antique Ningxia Chinese rug has a soft sandy-brown field with a central blue dragon motif surrounded by four similar roaring dragons and surrounded by shaded pink and sandy-brown cloud-motifs, in a border with blue angular stepped interlocking motif forming stylised mountains with a central flame within a blue and sandy-yellow linked cloud motif stripe, a broad outer band of light-blue, dark-blue, ivory and sandy-yellow striped narrow wave motifs scattered with clouds.
