This antique, circa 1910, Tabriz rug has a shaded blue field with an overall design of sandy-brown and light blue split-acanthus leaf scrolling vine issuing a variety of flowerheads and leafy tendrils, a column of linked palmettes at each side, in a broad buff-brown border of scrolling floral vine with palmettes and flowerheads within a stylized floral cartouche between ivory and shaded green floral vine stripes.
