This antique, circa 1910, Persian Malayer rug has a field with five horizontal rows of three light blue and brick-red pictorial and floral panels each containing stylised buildings alternating with panels of angular flowering plants and floral lozenges surrounded by flowerheads, in a light blue border meandering chocolate-brown, terracotta and ivory palmette vine between ivory and brick-red boteh vine stripes.
