This antique, circa 1920, Persian Serab runner has a chocolate-brown field with diagonal rows of polychrome angular floral motifs enclosed within a narrow fox-brown and ivory barber-pole stripe, in a chocolate-brown border of angular polychrome floral and an ivory stripe of linked cartouches enclosing inscriptions, outer multiple stripes of blue and burnt-orange reciprocal-skittle-pattern, sandy-brown diagonal, chocolate-brown with small florals, animal motifs and inscriptions.
