This antique, circa 1880, Hadji Jallili rug has a shaded royal-blue field with an overall design of dense palmette and floral motifs linked and enclosed by terracotta split palmette vine, in a fox-brown border of scrolling tendril vine linking bold turtle-palmette and rosette vines between indigo-blue and buff-brown floral vine stripes, outer reciprocal skittle-pattern stripes.
