This traditional Khotan rug has a shaded terracotta-red field scattered with a variety of floral sprays, hooked lozenges and palmettes radiating angular leaves around a royal-blue roundel with a central buff-brown vase issuing angular vine with a pomegranate at each end, with stepped angular spandrels in each corner, in a bold royal-blue border of angular terracotta-red and ivory floral vine, inner terracotta-red polychrome angular panel stripes between golden-yellow linked panel and plain outer terracotta stripe.
