This antique, circa 1880, Khotan rug has a pale grey field with an overall design of apricot and soft mole-brown lozenge and large open hooked lozenge panels, in a pale grey border of mole-brown palmette alternating with light brown and ivory hooked floral motifs between soft grey and terracotta-pink floral and angular square panels and floral stripes, plain outer chocolate-brown and terracotta-pink stripes.
