This antique, circa 1900, Agra rug has a burgundy-red field with an overall design of diagonal rows of charcoal-black serrated lozenge vine each lozenge containing a central boteh containing a pair of ice-blue linked lozenges, in a burgundy-red border of steel-blue, shaded green and charcoal-brown angular vine forming linked cartouches and issuing flowerheads and leafy motifs between burgundy-red meandering floral vine stripes and plain stripes.
