This antique, circa 1900, Khotan runner has a shaded fox-brown field with a central column of alternating open lozenges surrounded by hooked and floral motifs and further floral and leafy strays, the central motif within a sandy-yellow square cloud-band open panel containing polychrome rosettes, the smaller key-pattern spandrels at each corner, in an ivory border of fox-brown, soft-terracotta and chocolate-brown linked angular panels between chocolate-brown linked lozenges stripes, outer soft-terracotta angular part lozenge vine stripe.
