This antique, circa 1900, Persian Kurdish runner has a charcoal-black field with a central column of angular flowering stems flanked by polychrome lozenge panels each containing a delicate band of linked lozenges surrounded by part angular flowering stems, in an ivory border of bold polychrome flowerheads linked and divided by further floral motifs between brick-red inner meandering floral stripe and an outer brick-red and blue reciprocal-skittle-pattern stripe.
