This vintage, circa 1950, French Leleu rug features a plain pale-grey field with a central large blue-grey panel with horizontal rows of minor blue circles and burgundy-red floral motifs alternating with rows of ivory lozenges between pale yellow dot-motifs, in a broad soft moss-green cusped panel containing stronger moss-green panels with golden-yellow linked oak-leaves, the panels linked by burgundy-red X-motifs, outer plain pale-grey stripe.
