This traditional hand-woven Persian Isfahan rug has an extremely fine indigo field with intricate rust, pale fox-brown, and turquoise arabesque radial marquises, each containing alternating floral vine motifs, around a central turquoise medallion enclosing fox-brown palmettes issuing floral vines and an inner fox-brown ring of stylized vines, with an additional indigo field enclosing a central burgundy rosette, issuing two sandy cusps enclosing meandering flowering vines, lined by alternating camel and fox-brown chevron, and similar turquoise spandrels, in a turquoise border containing alternating indigo palmettes, ivory floral motifs, and detailed spiraling floral vines, between ivory floral borders enclosed by tobacco geometric stripes.
