This hand-woven Belgian Flemish Verdure tapestry is made in wools and silks, depicting a wooded landscape with lake in the center and a crane surrounded by flowering plants, a bird perched on a tree branch and a pair of parrots balanced on another to the right of center, a vista in the distance depicting a large hill surrounded by smaller hills and further trees, in a broad border of dense floral vines issuing from two square vases at each lower corner, a tied sheaf of wheat at each upper corner, outer plain and floral stripes.
