This hand-woven Belgian Flemish Pastoral tapestry is made in wools and silks, depicting in the foreground a shepherd with his flock being handed a gift by a peasant woman, surrounded by leafy sprays and a drinking barrel, in the background a courting couple, a shop selling various tools, a large church and other buildings with a stream running through the town together with further peasants walking a dog and drinking from a jug, in an acanthus leaf frame border between stripes.
